Dr. Virginia Glander is the Senior Emergency veterinarian at Florida Veterinary Referral Center & 24-hour Emergency Hospital (FVRC).

Dr. Glander obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 1990. She was an Emergency Veterinarian at the Animal Emergency Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan for 14 years. Dr. Glander and her family relocated to southwest Florida in 2006, and Dr. Glander has practiced in the Emergency and Critical Care Department at FVRC since that time. Her professional interests include anesthesia, analgesia, critical care nutrition, toxicology, and client education. Dr. Glander enjoys speaking and has given several presentations at veterinary and pharmacy continuing education meetings in Florida.

Her hobbies include artwork, cooking, and enjoying the great outdoors by hiking, backpacking, camping, and kayaking. She also enjoys volunteer work and is currently an Assistant Scoutmaster for her son’s Boy Scout troop in Naples.
