Bonnie Tucker
Dr. Bonnie Tucker brings over two decades of veterinary experience, with a strong focus in emergency medicine and soft tissue surgery. She earned her undergraduate degree in Marine Science and Biology from the University of Miami, Florida, and went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University in 2000.
Dr. Tucker's path to veterinary medicine was driven by a lifelong passion for animal care and science. Originally from Hong Kong, her global perspective has shaped a dynamic and well-rounded career. After completing her veterinary training, she returned to Hong Kong to help launch a veterinary practice, where she practiced for two years before continuing her career in the U.S.
She has worked extensively in emergency and specialty settings, most recently spending five years at VCA and previously serving at FVRC from 2011 to 2017. Her diverse background and international experience uniquely position her to handle a wide range of medical challenges with empathy and precision.
Dr. Tucker now lives on Sanibel Island with her husband and their three beloved Labrador Retrievers. Outside of the clinic, she’s an avid traveler who especially enjoys exploring Africa and Southeast Asia. When she's not traveling, you’ll likely find her jet skiing, windsurfing, snow skiing, snowboarding, or simply spending quality time with her dogs.
