Bonnie Tucker

Dr. Bonnie Tucker brings over two decades of veterinary experience, with a strong focus in emergency medicine and soft tissue surgery. She earned her undergraduate degree in Marine Science and Biology from the University of Miami, Florida, and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University in 2000.

Driven by a lifelong passion for animal care and science, Dr. Tucker has developed a global perspective through extensive time spent in Hong Kong with family and professional experience. After veterinary school, she helped launch a practice in Hong Kong where she worked for two years before continuing her career in the U.S.

She has worked extensively in emergency and specialty settings, most recently spending five years at VCA and previously serving at FVRC from 2011 to 2017. Her diverse background and international experience uniquely position her to handle a wide range of medical challenges with empathy and precision.

Dr. Tucker now lives on Sanibel Island with her husband and their three beloved Labrador Retrievers. Outside the clinic, she’s an avid traveler who especially enjoys exploring Africa and Southeast Asia. When not traveling, you’ll likely find her jet skiing, windsurfing, snow skiing, snowboarding, or spending quality time with her dogs.
