Dr. Ashley Caro is an Emergency veterinarian at Florida Veterinary Referral Center & 24-hour Emergency Hospital (FVRC).
She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 2017. During veterinary school, she traveled to Nicaragua to provide veterinary care to underserved communities, worked at a wildlife rehabilitation center in Minnesota where she helped to treat over 2000 inpatients, and did an externship at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado where she learned about giraffe orthopedics.
Prior to school she had 4 years of experience working at the Orange County Zoo in California and is interested in pursuing a residency program in Zoological Medicine.
Since moving to Florida she has enjoyed spending her free time on the beach and visiting the local zoos. Her hobbies include travel, scuba diving, sewing, making traditional Japanese geisha dolls, and spoiling her cat Kami Kitty.
