Internships

Internship Program

Florida Veterinary Referral Center (FVRC) offers a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery to qualified veterinary graduates. The goal of our program is to reinforce and sharpen doctors clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills in a state-of-the-art 24/7 specialty referral and emergency hospital. The program is geared toward preparing individuals for acceptance into a residency program, however, those interested in general practice will benefit greatly from the experience and advanced training.

Interns rotate through the following services:

  • Internal Medicine

  • Surgery

  • Emergency and Critical Care

Elective rotations can be customized to suit each doctor’s individual needs. Such electives include neurology and neurosurgery, oncology, ophthalmology, dermatology, and wildlife medicine.
