Board Certified in Small Animal Surgery, Dr. Baez received his bachelor of science degree in Animal Science from Iowa State University and earned a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. Upon completion of his small animal rotating internship and surgical internship, Dr. Baez completed his surgical residency at Mississippi State University.

As a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, Dr. Baez performs a full range of surgical procedures including orthopedic, soft tissue, and neurosurgery. His special surgical interests include fracture repair, gastrointestinal surgery, and rehabilitation. Dr. Baez has presented numerous lectures on surgical topics such as laryngeal paralysis, intervertebral disc disease (IVDD), and thyroid and parathyroid surgery for both state and local associations.
